There has been recent news of Cambridge Analytica misusing the data of around 50 million Facebook users. Facebook has been allowing third-party apps access to your private and personal data, as well as your family and friends.
Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook’s CEO, has addressed this situation surrounding the social media platform. He promised to make changes to how third-party developers can access and collect your data.

Or you can follow these steps:
- Open Facebook, then select the Menu tab in the bottom right corner.
- You’ll find Settings at the bottom of the Menu.
- Once you’ve tapped on Settings, you then want to go to Account Settings.
- Select Privacy, then click on Check a few important settings and Continue.
- You’ll then be able to Choose Audience (usually Public, Friends, Friends of Friends and Only me) for who can see your Posts and Profile.

Alternatively, you can follow these simple steps:
- Open Facebook, then select the Menu tab in the bottom right corner.
- You’ll find Settings at the bottom of the Menu.
- Once you’ve tapped on Settings, you then want to go to Apps.
- Tap on Apps others use.
- Now you can untick any of your information that you don’t want your friends to be able to share with third-party apps, games and websites.
